Five by Five Campaign
~ Real generosity toward the future lies in giving all to the present. ~ Albert Camus
Current economic times have affected everyone – re-evaluation of priorities is essential for survival. This is true of families, individuals, corporations and not-for-profits. Deciding where your hard-earned funds go…to what, to whom or how it is even possible are tough decisions. Although difficult, times such as these present unique opportunities. Communities thrive when there are diverse activities and interests. No one can predict how current economic hardships will ultimately impact entities that provide distinct experiences. However, present actions can ensure sustainable futures. We need your support to guarantee The Brogan Museum’s financial security.
The Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science is a community resource for visual arts, science exploration and humanities education – providing cultural understanding in support of life-long learning. Over the past 13 years, The Brogan Museum has reached over 1.5 million people with on-site and off-site experiences. Whether through our exhibitions; evening and Saturday programs; “Camp All That!” offerings; field trips; outreaches; teacher workshops; lectures or special events, such as The Florida Wine Festival – The Brogan Museum has touched the community.
To address the need to meet operational funding goals, The Brogan Museum Board of Directors, in partnership with this Campaign Cabinet, has launched the Five by Five Campaign: Help Sustain North Florida’s Only Art and Science Museum - $500,000 by 5 months. Aggressive? Perhaps. Obtainable? Absolutely. What will it take? 1,000 people giving $500 each. Who do we need? 1,000 friends of The Brogan Museum. With a Metropolitan area population of 367,413 – we know that The Brogan Museum has made a connection with at least 1,000 individuals. We are now asking our community to invest in YOUR local Art and Science Museum.
